Become a Member of the CLF
Welcome! We’re so glad you’re considering membership at the Church of the Larger Fellowship (CLF). By becoming a member, you are saying yes to being part of a global Unitarian Universalist community—one that nurtures spiritual growth, inclusive beloved community, and brings comfort and hope to people no matter where you are located. You are welcome here!
As a member of the CLF, you’ll be joining a vibrant, caring congregation without walls. Together we worship, learn, and serve—supporting one another in our spiritual journeys and extending love and justice into the world. Your membership helps make possible the life-changing ministries of the CLF, including online worship, covenant/small groups, faith development classes, Quest Monthly publication, and the Worthy Now Prison Ministry that reaches thousands of UUs currently experiencing incarceration.
How to Join
Step 1: Agree To Our Covenant
As Unitarian Universalists, we do not have a creed or testament of faith as a condition to be a part of our communities. We center community care, love and liberation through covenant. We aspire to show up together in the ways listed and when we fall short, we offer repair. By proceeding to step 2, you are agreeing to the CLF Covenant.
RESPECT—Our overarching value is one of respect for self and others as well as for people and ideas we may disagree with. We value the worth and dignity of all people.
TOLERANCE AND APPRECIATION OF DIVERSITY—We operate under a “both/and” rather than an “either/or” philosophy (i.e., we will honor others’ paths and welcome differences.
COMPASSION—Ours is a group with a spirit of caring and support. We encourage and lift one another up—especially in difficult times.
ACCOUNTABILITY—We hold each other accountable to these shared values (lovingly), and in the rare case that a message is offensive or inappropriate (it is okay to say “ouch”), the message will be removed by the moderator.
Step 2: Make Your Commitment
We invite you to support the CLF with your time, talent and treasure.
Time: Participate in weekly worship, classes, and the Community Network.
Talent: Volunteer for Coffee Hour host, chime in on Community Network threads with your reflections, start a new thread. Become a PenPal with an incarcerated member. We are always developing more ways to volunteer for our unique congregation.
Treasure: Give as generously as you are able to support a community that centers love and liberation.

Ways to Engage
There are many ways to get involved with the CLF, from attending online worship, volunteering with the Worthy Now Prison Ministry, to joining our online Community Network.
